Position Details:

Kearnan College is a vibrant PK–12 school nestled in the picturesque town of Manjimup, approximately 300km south of Perth. The region offers a tranquil lifestyle with nature trails perfect for walking, cycling and outdoor exploration. Kearnan College has approximately 300 students and 56 teaching and support staff.  We are seeking an outstanding educator and leader for the position of Head of Learning Area (HASS) for a 2027 start.  

The HoLA (HASS) is a key member of the Kearnan College Middle Leadership Team and the successful applicant will play a pivotal role in nurturing a safe, inclusive and faith-filled environment where students grow spiritually, emotionally, socially and academically. Our HoLAs work collaboratively as a collective group for the betterment of the College’s educational achievement. At Keanan College, Psychology is also part of the HASS Department.

Selection Criteria:
• Willingness to support the Catholic ethos of the school. 
• Experience teaching within the HASS Learning Area. 
• Sound understanding of SCSA requirements. 
• Superior interpersonal and communication skills. 
• Skills to contribute to and promote a strong staff culture focused on support and improvement. 
• Willingness to support staff in the implementation of our Whole School Instructional Model.
