Heritage College Lake Macquarie (HCLM) is an Independent, co-educational K-12 Christian school located in the growing Lake Macquarie area of Morisset. HCLM staff are responsible for supporting the college to deliver educational services that are effective in preparing every child to meet the challenges of a changing world with courage and confidence. You will play a key role in the delivery of services that support the college to develop in students the Spiritual, Physical, Intellectual and Emotional dimensions that characterise a balanced and purpose-driven life.

About the Role
HCLM is seeking an innovative and enthusiastic Primary Teacher with a strong commitment to quality teaching and learning. The successful candidate will present strong interpersonal skills that value relationships and a desire to make a difference in the lives of students and will demonstrate a personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and a lifestyle consistent with that faith.

Selection Criteria

• Demonstrated ability to foster positive learning outcomes and support student success with a strong emphasis on supporting and promoting student wellbeing and the College’s Christian values.
• Able to develop positive and innovative learning environments, applying evidence-based behaviour management strategies to support student wellbeing and achievement.
• Experience in the implementation of effective classroom practice underpinned by 21st Century pedagogy; particular consideration will be given to candidates with experience in Explicit Instruction.
