KSC 4 - Demonstrated technical knowledge and experience in IT support, Windows and Apple devices, Microsoft 365, printing and basic networking, in a school environment.

Role

The Level 1 IT Support Technician is the first point of contact for day-to-day technical support across the College for students, keeping student devices, software and school platforms running reliably. Working within the College's IT team, the technician logs, triages and resolves routine support requests, and escalates more complex or infrastructure-level issues to the College's IT Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Attend to day-to-day IT support requests from students; escalate complex or infrastructure issues as required.
  • Provide first-level support and administration for Compass and other school platforms, account setup, and basic configuration.
  • Provide support with printers and photocopiers 
  • Set up, image, deploy and maintain staff and student devices using Intune (Windows and, where applicable, Apple), including BYOD support.
  • Support Microsoft 365 accounts and passwords, printing (PaperCut), classroom AV/projectors, and general peripheral issues.
