Role description

Location: St Paul's Catholic Parish Primary School, Albion Park

A temporary part time position commencing 27 January 2027 until 26 January 2028.

The role of Physical Education Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning so that students may reach their full potential.

ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
  • Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.
  • Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning across all Key Learning Areas.
  • Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
  • Implement effective teaching strategies in Literacy and Numeracy.
  • Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
  • Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers and the wider school community.

DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Experience in organising whole school sport, gala days and carnivals.

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organisational skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Appropriate qualifications for teaching Primary K–6.
