Key Responsibilities
As a Teacher at St Patrick's School, you will:
- Work collaboratively with leaders, colleagues, and parents/caregivers to facilitate positive learning by students and engage in educational reform.
- Apply curriculum knowledge and teaching methods which facilitate successful learning
- Respond to learner’s needs
- Provide a balanced and challenging program relevant to the needs of the students (including developing Individual Learning Plans, as appropriate)
- Assess, record and report learner achievement using required programs and systems
- Establish structures and processes to achieve a productive learning environment
- Employ behaviour management strategies which ensure a safe, orderly and successful learning environment
- Create a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages active participation and student growth.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education.
- Be an energetic, positive, dynamic educator who is committed to engaging in professional dialogue and working collaboratively within a flexible learning environment.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Current Teacher Registration in South Australia
- Sound knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and pedagogies to promote learning for students.
