Key Responsibilities 

As a Teacher at St Patrick's School, you will:

  • Work collaboratively with leaders, colleagues, and parents/caregivers to facilitate positive learning by students and engage in educational reform.
  • Apply curriculum knowledge and teaching methods which facilitate successful learning
  • Respond to learner’s needs
  • Provide a balanced and challenging program relevant to the needs of the students (including developing Individual Learning Plans, as appropriate)
  • Assess, record and report learner achievement using required programs and systems
  • Establish structures and processes to achieve a productive learning environment
  • Employ behaviour management strategies which ensure a safe, orderly and successful learning environment
  • Create a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages active participation and student growth.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education.
  • Be an energetic, positive, dynamic educator who is committed to engaging in professional dialogue and working collaboratively within a flexible learning environment.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Current Teacher Registration in South Australia
  • Sound knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and pedagogies to promote learning for students.
