Role description

This is an exciting new Part-Time (0.6 FTE) role in St Gabriel’s.

We are seeking an exceptional Science and Innovation educator who is passionate about developing curious, capable and empathetic young people through inquiry, innovation and authentic learning experiences.

Working within the vision of Catholic Education South Australia's Towards 2027: Expanding Horizons and Deepening Practices, the successful applicant will inspire students to become active investigators, collaborative learners and confident leaders through contemporary, student-centered approaches to teaching and learning.

 

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and contemporary Science programs aligned with the Australian Curriculum Version 9.0.
  • Design transformative learning experiences that foster curiosity, creativity, critical thinking and innovation.
  • Inspire learners to investigate authentic questions and solve real-world challenges through scientific inquiry and evidence-based thinking.
  • Integrate digital technologies, emerging tools and contemporary pedagogies to enhance engagement, collaboration and learning outcomes.
  • Utilise current technology such as; Podcasting, 3D Printers and Virtual Reality to enrich students learning experiences. 
  • Nurture learners to demonstrate the St Gabriel’s School values of respect, responsibility, resilience and relationships.
