Xavier College is seeking a proactive, knowledgeable and highly organised Work Health and Safety Coordinator to join our WHS team. This important role supports the Work Health and Safety Team Leader through the delivery of operational WHS and Return to Work (RTW) services, ensuring a safe, compliant and supportive environment for students, staff, contractors and visitors across the College.
We have campuses at Gawler Belt (7-12), Two Wells (R-11), Evanston (R-6) and Riverlea Park (opening in 2027), regular travel between campuses will be required.
This permanent full-time position offers a busy and varied workload for an experienced safety professional who enjoys building positive relationships, promoting safety culture and supporting compliance across a multi campus school environment. The successful applicant will be based at the Gawler Belt campus with an expectation to travel between campuses as required.
As the Work Health and Safety Coordinator, you will work closely with leaders and staff across the College for:
- The implementation and continuous improvement of WHS policies, procedures and initiatives across the College
- Providing advice, recommendations and practical guidance on WHS and RTW matters
- Investigating injuries, incidents, hazards, risks and near misses, ensuring appropriate corrective and preventative actions are implemented
