About the Role
The Assistant IB DP Coordinator leads the Diploma Programme Core, comprising Theory of Knowledge, the Extended Essay and Creativity, Activity, Service, and supports the Assistant Director of Academic Education (IBDP) in leading the Diploma Programme in Years 11 and 12.
The Assistant Coordinator holds the coherence, quality and academic integrity of the Core, monitors student progress across it, and drives evidence-informed improvement within the International Baccalaureate Programme Standards and Practices. The role guides and coordinates the teachers of Theory of Knowledge and the supervisors of the Extended Essay and Creativity, Activity, Service, without displacing the authority of Heads of Department and Faculty.
Beyond the Core, the role undertakes delegated operational, academic and compliance leadership on behalf of the Assistant Director and contributes to strategic planning and programme coherence across Years 10 to 12.
