Role description
Position details:
Kearnan College is a vibrant PK–12 school of 300 students nestled in the picturesque town of Manjimup, approximately 300km south of Perth. The region offers a tranquil lifestyle with nature trails perfect for walking, cycling and outdoor exploration. Food enthusiasts will enjoy a rich array of local cafés, restaurants and fresh regional produce. Our new Early Childhood teacher will be a collaborative and contributing team member and an engaging educator who will develop respectful relationships with students and other staff members.
This is a temporary position for 2027. We are looking for someone to work full-time in Term 1, and then 2 days per week (in the same classroom) for the remainder of the year.
Selection Criteria:
Ability to plan, implement, assess and report on learning programs aligned with the WA Curriculum, EYLF and with consideration of the NQS.
• Ability to create engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences that support students’ academic, social, emotional, spiritual and physical growth.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with both adults and students.
• Skills to contribute to and promote a strong staff culture and to work collaboratively with other staff members.
• Supportive of the Catholic ethos of the College.
