Role description
About the role
An exciting opportunity has opened up for a passionate and experienced Music Specialist teacher to join our school community in Term 4 2026. We are looking for a teacher with the skills and knowledge to teach the Music program in our school. This position calls for someone who is committed to ensuring that our Arts Program is continued and enhanced and that students enjoy and develop a passion for music. The position is for three days (0.6) per week, worked on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
The successful applicant will be willing and able to:
- be alligned with MACS' Vision for Instruction and Engagement
- have an ability to foster positive relationships with students, staff and parents
- be open to ongoing learning and development
- be enthusiastic, motivated and team orientated
- able to work independently and be confident in the delivery of a music program to children from Foundation to Year 6
- organise, co-ordinate and lead a student's choir group which supports school and community events
- demonstrate a willingness to nurture the faith of all in our community, actively supporting our Catholic school vision
Special Requirements
Applicants must have:
- a commitment to the ethos of Catholic education
- Current registration with VIT
