Hours / FTE: 0.8 FTE Literacy; 0.2 FTE Teaching
Commencement date: 28 January 2027
Term of Appointment: Term 1 2027, until end of the 2029 school year

This is a 3 year apointment. A right of return will be negotiated for an internal appointment.

The Literacy Coach, as a member of the Learning Collaborative Team, plays a vital role in supporting the success of all teachers and students in secondary schools.

The primary leadership activities for this position focus on the implementation of a school-wide high-impact assessment and instruction priority that integrates literacy across the curriculum.

Literacy Coaches support staff in the delivery of assessment-based instruction that is intentionally differentiated to meet the strengths, needs and interests of each student across all curriculum areas with a focus on Stage 4.

Criteria

The successful applicant will be a teacher who:

     1. demonstrates the four beliefs in their teaching

            a) All students can learn given sufficient time and support
            b) All teachers can teach to high standards given the right conditions and assistance
            c) High expectations and early and on-going intervention are essential
