Details: The learning and Teaching branch is responsible for system leadership, policy and planning in relation to curriculum implementation and teaching practice across ACT public schools. The branch is also responsible for supporting inclusive education for children and young people with disability, including directly providing hearing and vision support to deaf/hard of hearing and/or blind/low vision children and young people and their schools.

The branch supports schools with high-quality and evidence-based coaching, resources and professional learning in areas including literacy, numeracy, early childhood education, gifted and talented education, English as an additional language/dialect, and inclusive education for students with disability. The branch also works with school communities, families and students to support student outcomes and share information. The branch contributes to the design and delivery of significant school and system improvement initiative aligned with the directions and priorities of the Directorate's Strategic Plan.
