Role description


We have 2x permanent, full-time positions commencing ASAP

The Infrastructure Division has responsibility for the strategic planning, delivery and ongoing management of education facilities across Western Australia. The branch ensures that land, buildings and equipment are planned and provided to meet current and future student needs, supporting safe, functional and contemporary learning environments.

This includes land use planning, student enrolment forecasting, facilities planning, strategic asset management, and the delivery of capital works, maintenance and minor works programs. Working collaboratively with schools and stakeholders, the branch supports the Department’s commitment to high-quality education through responsive, transparent and accountable infrastructure services.

The Role

The successful applicants will assist with the coordination, planning, design and development of capital works projects within the Department. They will also provide advice and support services to schools, ensuring building and related needs are identified and assessed in line with Departmental policy, criteria and equity issues.

As a Senior Project Officer you will liaise, consult and negotiate with key stakeholders and interested parties while maintaining a focus on customer service delivery and continuous improvement of services.

The successful applicants will provide recommendations through briefing notes to the Director General and Minister and the delivery of client-focussed responses to enquiries from school communities and members of the public.
