Location Profile

Wayi School is a Government P12 specialist school in Craigieburn supporting students with disability and high needs, from mild to profound intellectual disability.

Our vision is to empower and inspire every member of our learning community through inclusive, innovative and strength-based learning. Wayi is a Woi-wurrung word of the Wurundjeri people meaning `us', reflecting our commitment to working together with students, families, educators and the wider community.

Our core values are Voice, Choice and Independence. We use individualised learning, strong partnerships and a collaborative approach to help every student develop communication, agency, independence and lifelong learning skills.

Teachers work closely with Allied Health, Education Support staff and families to develop meaningful Individual Education Program (IEP) goals. Technology, SW-PBS and Trauma Informed Practice are key parts of our approach to learning and wellbeing.

At Wayi, you'll be supported to grow professionally within a collaborative, supportive and empowering team. Successful applicants may work across Foundation to Senior Secondary, with opportunities aligned to your skills, experience and career aspirations.
