Role description

Selection Criteria

SC1: Demonstrated experience in facilities management, including but not limited to cyclic maintenance, compliance, repairs, contractor management and overseeing/completing major projects.

SC2: Demonstrated experience in contractor and procurement management within a school (or similar) environment. This includes engaging and coordinating contractors, conducting inductions, risk assessments and ensuring all contractors have the required documentation to work safely onsite.

SC3: Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) Management Systems and Work Safe procedures to identify, manage and provide solutions to risks within the school.

SC4: Sound technical knowledge and hands-on proficiency in general maintenance, minor building repairs, and grounds/gardening work, with skills in the use of relevant tools and equipment, and the physical capacity to carry out a hands-on role. 

SC5: Demonstrated ability to establish and/or maintain digital databases and registers (eg: key register, chemical register, Asset & Infrastructure Management System [AIMS]) or similar.

SC6: Demonstrated capacity to show initiative, contribute to a positive school culture and live by organisational values and policies

Role

Attendance requirement for this position: 30 days during school holiday periods. This means the position includes a 20 day (4 week) holiday period per year. A leave purchase allowance will be paid fortnightly.
