Selection Criteria

KSC 1 - Clinical Knowledge and Experience
Demonstrated specialist knowledge and clinical experience in delivering comprehensive Speech Pathology services, including assessment and intervention in the areas of speech, language, communication and swallowing. Experience working within an educational setting is highly desirable

KSC 2 - Assessment, Goal Setting and Intervention
Demonstrated ability to assess the communication needs of students aged 3¿18 years with intellectual disability, develop meaningful and individualised goals, and implement evidence-informed communication strategies and interventions that support student participation, learning and wellbeing within an educational setting.

KSC 3 - Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)
Demonstrated specialist knowledge and experience in the assessment, selection, design, implementation and ongoing review of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems to support students with complex communication needs and intellectual disability.

KSC 4 - Communication and Interpersonal Skills
Highly developed communication, consultation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish effective and respectful relationships and collaborate with students, families, carers, teachers, Education Support staff, external therapists and other key stakeholders.

KSC - Collaboration and Multidisciplinary Practice
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement programs and strategies that enhance students¿ communication, participation, independence and access …
