Selection Criteria

SC1    Demonstrated knowledge of relevant curriculum areas, including literacy and numeracy, and the ability to adapt and deliver learning programs that respond to the diverse learning, communication, and wellbeing needs of students in a specialist school setting.

SC2    Demonstrated experience in planning for and implementing high-impact teaching strategies informed by how students learn, and in evaluating the effectiveness of teaching and learning programs to support measurable student engagement, progress, and growth.

SC3    Demonstrated experience in monitoring and assessing student learning using a range of assessment and data sources, and in using this information to inform teaching practice, track student progress, and provide clear and meaningful feedback to students and families about learning growth and achievement.

SC4    Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues and the broader school community to support student learning, agency, wellbeing and engagement.
