Role description
This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 4, 2026
Eastern Goldfields Education Support Centre (EGESC) provides specialised education for high school students with mild, moderate, or severe intellectual disabilities, as well as students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who have exceptionally high educational needs. Many of our students also present with additional complex conditions that require support.
EGESC is co-located with Kalgoorlie-Boulder Community High School (KBCHS), in South Kalgoorlie. While sharing a site, EGESC operates as a distinct Education Support Centre, with its own staff, leadership, and tailored programs focused on student engagement, WA curriculum, functional skill development, and post-school pathways.

The Role
As a Library Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring that the library is running smoothly and providing excellent reference, information, and associated services to students, staff, and parents. You will have the opportunity to supervise the day-to-day operations of the library and take charge of maintaining and processing library resources, making them easily accessible to all. You will conduct library skills training, helping students and staff to make the most of the resources available to them. Additionally, you will assist in selecting program and age-appropriate materials, ensuring that the library has the resources needed to support the curriculum and the needs of the students and staff.
