ABOUT THE ROLE

The Leader of Curriculum – PDHPE provides curriculum leadership, in line with College initiatives, to the teaching staff to strengthen and enhance teaching practices and learning. The Leader of Curriculum cultivates a learning environment that values innovation, achievement and excellence, while promoting best practice in pedagogy and professional engagement across the College.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the PDHPE team in educational administration to ensure the integrity of programming, assessment and reporting.
• Ensure all PDHPE teaching programs, assessment tasks and scope and sequence documents fulfil NESA and College requirements.
• Support effective and innovative teaching and learning within the PDHPE department by fostering best practice pedagogy, appropriate integration of technology into learning and implementing the Professional Learning and Growth Framework.
• Promote collaboration between learning support staff and teachers to develop and implement plans for students with additional needs.
