Role description

Are you keen to work in an environment that supports girls and young women to be the best learners that they can be?

A full-time permanent position is available for a qualified Academic Support teacher to join our team in the Secondary School from the start of the 2027 school year.

Academic support teachers work with students with a diverse range of learning needs, including in regular classrooms and in one-on-one situations, to develop specific academic and cognitive skills. They collaborate with academic and wellbeing staff across the school in the development of appropriate learning resources, devising individual learning plans and contributing to the ongoing conversations about pedagogy and effective teaching strategies. They are also responsible for interpreting and communicating specific student learning data, including data extracted from external and internal testing, literacy and numeracy testing and/or cognitive assessments.

In addition to expertise in these areas, the successful applicant for this role will have excellent organisational skills together with the interpersonal and communication skills required to support a diverse range of learning needs. They will have experience working flexibly, independently and in collaborative partnership with teams of teachers. The successful applicant will also be committed to the full life of the School and supportive of its Christian ethos.
