Role description

HSIE Teacher 

• Permanent Full-time position (1.0 FTE)

Monte offers a dual curriculum through the International Baccalaureate (IB) and Higher School Certificate (HSC), providing students with diverse and enriching academic pathways.

We seek to employ an innovative HSIE Teacher (Economics and/or Legal Studies) to join our collaborative and supportive HSIE Faculty. This permanent full-time position (1.0 FTE) will commence in Term 1, 2027.

The successful candidate will teach a combination of junior HSIE courses across Years 7 to 10, together with Stage 6 Economics and/or Legal Studies. Experience teaching Stage 6 courses is essential, while International Baccalaureate (IB) teaching experience or a willingness to undertake IB Economics training is highly advantageous.

The successful candidate will be committed to delivering engaging and rigorous learning experiences, challenging and extending students of diverse abilities, and fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
