Role description

Established in 1879, St Aloysius' College is a Catholic, Jesuit day school for boys from Year 3 to Year 12. Situated in the shadow of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, it has an enrolment of over 1300 students.

About the Role

Senior School English Teacher (Parental Leave Cover)

St Aloysius' College is seeking to appoint a dedicated and suitably qualified English Teacher to join our outstanding English faculty on a full-time fixed-term basis to cover a period of parental leave.


The successful candidate will demonstrate strong subject knowledge, and a willingness to integrate innovative pedagogy and contemporary classroom teaching practice that both supports and challenges students. The successful candidate would also possess a strong commitment to academic excellence, embracing a collaborative approach to teaching and learning.

Demonstrating capacity to teach English across Years 7-11, this role presents an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or an experienced educator with a commitment to continuous professional growth and student achievement.

Reporting to the Head of English, the successful candidate will support curriculum development, coordinate departmental activities, assist in the administration of assessments, work collaboratively with faculty members to enhance student learning outcomes and contribute to the overall academic and pastoral care of students.
