Role description
St Narsai Assyrian Christian College is a co-educational independent school providing education to students from Kindergarten to Year 12. Located in Southwest Sydney, the College is embedded in the Christian faith and its values. We believe in providing a nurturing and inclusive educational environment where students can grow academically, spiritually, and socially, fostering an atmosphere of respect, integrity, and empathy.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Science teacher with the confidence and expertise to teach Years 7–10 Science. Experience teaching Stage 6 Chemistry, Biology and Physics is highly desirable.
This is a temporary full-time position commencing 27 January 2027 until 10 December 2027.
The ideal candidate must have:
- Ability to teach Years 7–10 Science, with experience teaching Stage 6 Chemistry, Biology and Physics highly desirable.
- Ability to cater to different learning abilities, including EAL/D.
- Evidence of innovative classroom practices.
- A high standard of competency and proficiency as a classroom teacher.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of the integration of technology in the delivery of learning.
- An understanding of how students learn, effective classroom teaching strategies, and the capacity to work with colleagues to continually improve teaching and learning.
- Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills, critical analysis and problem solving skills.
- Ability to prioritise and work as part of a team.

- A tertiary qualification in Education, and NESA accreditation to teach in NSW.
