Role description
St Narsai Assyrian Christian College is a co-educational independent school providing education to students from Kindergarten to Year 12. Located in Southwest Sydney, the College is embedded in the Christian faith and its values. We believe in providing a nurturing and inclusive educational environment where students can grow academically, spiritually, and socially, fostering an atmosphere of respect, integrity, and empathy.
We are seeking an enthusiastic HSIE Teacher to join our team. Experience and ability to teach 7–10 HSIE is required, and a willingness to teach Work Studies is desirable.
This is a temporary full-time position commencing 27 January 2027 until 10 December 2027.
The successful person must have:
- Experience and ability to teach 7–10 HSIE; a willingness to teach Work Studies is desirable.
- A strong understanding of and commitment to the College’s Christian ethos and values.
- Ability to deliver engaging, high-quality learning experiences.
- Ability to integrate ICT and differentiated strategies to meet the diverse needs of learners.
- Ability to foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment focused on student wellbeing and growth.
- Willingness to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and the wider school community.
- Willingness to participate actively in school events and contribute to the spiritual and academic life of the College.
- Ability to prioritise and work as part of a team.
Essential Criteria:
- A tertiary qualification in Education, and NESA accreditation to teach in NSW.
