Role description

St Narsai Assyrian Christian College is a co-educational independent school providing education to students from Kindergarten to Year 12. Located in Southwest Sydney, the College is embedded in the Christian faith and its values. We believe in providing a nurturing and inclusive educational environment where students can grow academically, spiritually, and socially, fostering an atmosphere of respect, integrity, and empathy.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and professional Mathematics Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to creating a positive learning environment and maintaining high teaching standards.

This is a temporary full-time position commencing 27 January 2027 until 10 December 2027.

The ideal candidate must have:

  • NESA accreditation to teach Stages 4, 5 and 6 Mathematics.
  • Evidence of innovative classroom practices.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the integration of technology in the delivery of learning.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing numeracy initiatives.
  • Proven ability to analyse student data, develop action plans, and implement strategies to enhance student learning outcomes.
  • Expertise in differentiating instruction to effectively support EAL/D students and those with low numeracy skills, ensuring their diverse learning needs are met.
  • An understanding of how students learn, effective classroom teaching strategies, and the capacity to work with colleagues to continually improve teaching and learning.
