English Teacher - 2027

St Narsai Assyrian Christian College is a co-educational independent school providing education to students from Kindergarten to Year 12. Located in Southwest Sydney, the College is embedded in the Christian faith and its values. We are seeking an enthusiastic and suitably qualified Secondary English Teacher to join our collaborative English faculty. The successful applicant will have the capacity to deliver engaging and rigorous learning experiences across Years 7–12 and support students with a diverse range of learning needs and abilities.

Experience teaching Stage 6 English—including English Standard, English Advanced, English Studies or English Extension—is highly desirable. However, applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and early-career teachers with a strong knowledge of English curriculum and pedagogy.

This is a temporary full-time position commencing 27 January 2027 until 10 December 2027.

The ideal candidate must have:

• Ability to teach English across Years 7–12 and plan and deliver engaging, challenging and well-structured lessons.
• Strong knowledge of the NSW English curriculum and current NESA requirements.
• Ability to use explicit teaching, assessment data and effective feedback to improve student literacy and achievement.
