Role description
The Opportunity
St Francis Xavier's Catholic School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Leader of Learning to join our school team and community.
The Leader of Learning will work closely with the School Leadership team, the school Quality and Performance Team and Year's R to 6 teachers to support the Principal and the staff to deliver a coherent and coordinated approach to strengthening student outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- assist in the collection and use of assessment and other data to develop strategies to strengthen student learning;
- work to a consistent set of expectations involving collaboration for learning improvements;
- contribute to research-based learning about pedagogy and language that promotes high quality teaching and learning and builds a culture of high expectations for learners;
- liaise with teachers to focus on data sets to better inform teaching practices and student engagement;
- work in collaboration with classroom teachers to identify students at risk
- collaborate with the school Leadership Team, Professional Learning Communities (PLC) and staff to implement strategies for consistent monitoring of student progress in learning outcomes.
- work collaboratively with a CESA Systems Coach to analyse data to meet school and system learning objectives
The Leader of Learning will have demonstrated acumen in:
- understanding of, and engagement with, contemporary issues in education and leadership;
