Role description

Position Details:
St Joseph's School, Queens Park is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Education Assistant to join our Kindergarten team for three days per week during Term 4, 2026 (Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays). Three days per week-Temporaray, until December 31st,(With the possibility of  continuing in 2027)
This is a rewarding opportunity to work alongside our experienced teaching staff to support the learning, development, and wellbeing of our youngest students in a nurturing and engaging early childhood environment.

Selection Criteria:
• Relevant Qualifications and Experience
Demonstrated qualifications in Education Support (Certificate III or IV or equivalent) and/or experience in an early childhood setting or similar.

• Early Childhood Experience
Experience in working with young children in Kindergarten, Pre-Primary, childcare, or an early childhood setting. 

• Ability to Support Student Learning
Demonstrated ability to support the educational, social ,emotional and behavioural development of young children within a learning environment.

• Childsafe and Wellbeing Support
A commitment to promoting the safety, wellbeing and dignity of all children and contribute positively to the school community.

• Communication and Teamwork Skills
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, school staff, and families while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
