Role description

A number of temporary full time and part time positions are available commencing 28 January 2027 until 20 December 2027. The successful applicants will be required to teach one of the following subjects: Religious Education, English, Mathematics, HSIE, Music/Drama, Science and PD/H/PE.  Please specify in your cover letter, your area of teaching and if you are interested in either full time or part time employment.

The role of Classroom Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning so that students may reach their full potential.

ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
  • Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.
  • Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
  • Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in KLA(s).
  • Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
  • Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers and the wider school community.

DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Ability and willingness to teach Religious Education.
  • Ability and willingness to teach senior English.

GENERAL CAPABILITIES

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills.
