Role description

This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 4, 2026

As a large, successful school, Shenton College employs over 280 teachers, some of whom teach within one of our dedicated Middle School Communities (Years 7 and 8), while others teach in our Senior Schools from Year 9 to 12. Throughout their time at Shenton College, staff typically have the opportunity to alternate between the Middle and Senior schools. We offer a flexible school day with multiple timetables operating from 8:00 AM to 4:05 PM, with collaborative sessions on Wednesday afternoons. Our staff are committed to personal and professional growth and create learning environments that are fun, purposeful, and relevant. We strive to ignite curiosity and foster a lifelong love of learning.

At Shenton College, we firmly believe that building a school around a student provides greater capacity to cater for students with unique learning and social needs. Working collaboratively in teams of teachers allows for greater use of cross-curricular and interdisciplinary teaching strategies. Our focus on Care, Curiosity and Collaboration, allows us to focus on the whole child not just the academic child. The College’s nationally awarded selective GATE selective academic program has broad community recognition and consistently attracts exceptional students from across the state.
