Library Technician

Statewide Services provides the services and supports required by schools to enable student achievement, with a focus on those students and schools that need it most. It encompasses both school and system-facing service delivery. While it primarily exists to support schools, it also has an important system-facing role supporting strategy and policy development.

Service Delivery is the key interface with schools. Its purpose is to plan, coordinate and deliver targeted services that support schools and regions to improve student achievement.

This Primary, Early Childhood and Education Support Directorate provides coordinated primary, early childhood and education support expertise to regions and to schools identified as requiring support.

The Role

Statewide Services is seeking a Library Technician to support the operation of its Resource Centre in Padbury. You will play an important role in assisting teachers and school staff to access specialised and mainstream educational resources that support student learning outcomes across Western Australia.

As a member of the Resource Centre team, you will assist with the organisation, promotion and circulation of resources, maintain accurate library management records, and provide advice and support to clients accessing the collection. Your work will help ensure schools have access to resources that support inclusive education practices, including resources for students with disability, EAL/D learners and other diverse student groups.
