Broome Primary School (PS) is committed to fostering a culturally responsive, inclusive and welcoming school community where positive and respectful relationships are valued and nurtured. Established in 1901, Broome PS is the oldest established public school in the Kimberley and has a long and proud history of serving the local community.
The school works in partnership with students, families and the wider community to create a safe and supportive environment where every student feels a strong sense of belonging, identity and connection. Programs and initiatives promote student self-esteem, wellbeing, resilience and the development of strong personal and social values.

Broome is situated on the shores of Roebuck Bay in the Kimberley region of Western Australia, approximately 2,200 kilometres from Perth. The town has a rich multicultural history shaped by the pearling industry and strong Asian, European and Aboriginal cultural influences. Broome is the traditional home of the Yawuru and Djugun peoples and is rich in Aboriginal culture.
