Augusta Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of dynamic and driven Primary Teachers for permanent and fixed-term, full-time and part-time vacancies that may arise during the 2027 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies commencing during this period.

Augusta PS is a highly sought-after school located on Wadandi Country in the seaside town of Augusta, approximately 320 kilometres south of Perth. The school has strong connections with its local community and provides a supportive, collaborative environment for staff and students.

Augusta PS caters for approximately 100 students from Kindergarten to Year 6, with an intake area extending from Augusta to Kudardup. The school is part of the Southwest Education Region and the Capes Network and is supported by the Regional Education Office in Bunbury.

The Role

Suitable applicants will ideally be highly motivated, reflective and data-informed educators who demonstrate a strong commitment to improving student outcomes. They should have the capacity to analyse student achievement data, identify areas of need and use this information to plan differentiated teaching, targeted intervention and ongoing assessment.

Applicants should possess a strong knowledge of evidence-based literacy and numeracy instruction, including the Science of Reading, explicit teaching and the Gradual Release of Responsibility model.
