Role description

Star of the Sea School is seeking a dedicated and passionate teacher who can build a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment that supports every student.  

  • Actively support and contribute to the Catholic identity at Star of the Sea School.
  • Demonstrate the use of data to inform teaching programs, that lead to improved outcomes for all students and be able to outline how this is used for extending students.
  • Demonstrate a deep knowledge and understanding of contemporary, innovative and inclusive pedagogies that focus on student engagement across all curriculum areas.
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that prioritises student wellbeing and social and emotional learning, helping students develop self-regulation, positive behaviour, personal responsibility and success as learners.
  • Demonstrate an ability to influence high-quality teaching and learning beyond your classroom.
  • Possess highly effective communication and interpersonal skills in developing positive and collaborative relationships with learners, colleagues, parents and the broader community
  • Be a dynamic and highly organised educator committed to ongoing professional growth and collaborative learning with a willingness to implement new initiatives.
