New to Catholic schools? Our guide to teaching in Catholic schools covers RE accreditation, the diocesan system, pay, and how applications differ from government roles.

Role description

CLC is a place to belong.

This is where each student can find their place with a range of educational pathways, a focus on wellbeing at every level, and a world of co-curricular opportunities.

Catholic Ladies' College is an independent secondary school, located in Eltham. Since 1902, we have empowered, supported and inspired young people to follow their path and reach their potential. Ours is a team-focused learning community with high professional expectations and a commitment to continuous improvement.

We are seeking an experienced Italian and English Teacher to join our learning community for a 12 month contract. The role is full time, and will commence in January 2027.

The successful applicant will be an educator with the ability to inspire a love of learning and culture across a range of year levels. A demonstrated capacity to teach VCE Italian, including Year 12, is essential. Experience teaching English to Year 12 would be an advantage.

Applications close Wednesday 9 September 2026.

The application process will ask candidates for a cover letter and resume.

Applicants must be prepared to support the Catholic ethos of the College.  The College promotes the safety, wellbeing, protection and inclusion of all children.
