Role description

St Paul’s College is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Laboratory Technician to support our vibrant Science faculty. In this role, you will help bring science learning to life through the preparation of practical experiments, management of laboratory resources and equipment, and the maintenance of safe and engaging learning spaces. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to student learning while working within a collaborative and values-driven school community.

The Opportunity

The Laboratory Technician supports the effective delivery of science education by providing technical, operational and administrative support across the College’s science laboratories and learning environments. The role is responsible for the preparation and maintenance of laboratory resources, equipment and facilities, while ensuring compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS), legislative and laboratory safety requirements.

Working collaboratively with the Laboratory Coordinator and teaching staff, the Laboratory Technician supports engaging and safe practical learning experiences for students through the provision of technical expertise, resource management and laboratory support, contributing to a safe, organised and well-resourced science learning environment.
