Position:Heads of Department (Religious Education) and (Business Education, Media Studies & Digital Solutions) - Shalom College, BundabergStart date:January 2027Employment Status: Full-Time (in conjunction with a permanent Teaching Role)  Salary Range: $109,391 - $147,515 ($147,515 salary applies for teachers with a minimum of 5 years FTE service)Applications Close:Friday, 2 October 2026

 

What we are looking for:

Shalom College, Bundaberg seeks applications from suitably qualified established and aspiring leaders to undertake the middle leadership positions of Head of Department - Religious Education and Head of Department - Business Education, Media Studies & Digital Solutions. These two Middle Leader positions will commence in January 2027, in conjunction with permanent teaching roles at the college. 

We seek passionate leaders who will strive for excellence in teaching, administration, professional conduct, relationships with parents and the wider school community and a genuine interest for young people and their learning. 

Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate:

  • A commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education
  • An ability to develop and lead quality teaching and learning practices in the subject area listed above
  • A willingness to proactively engage with professional development opportunities to enhance quality pedagogy and student outcomes
  • An ability to work in collaboration with the Leadership Team and other staff members to contribute to the future planned growth, development and extra-curricular life of the College
