Role description
We are seeking a passionate educator for a flexible teaching role, with the capacity to appoint up to 1.0FTE, depending on the successful applicants preferences.
The position is available as 0.6FTE Middle/Upper Primary, with the remaining 0.4 FTE negotiable across a range of subject areas within our Middle School, based on the candidate's skills, interests, and experience.
Kimba Area School is a Category 6 regional area school catering for years R-12, within a highly supportive dynamic community. Teachers are expected to work collaboratively with colleagues across the school, to develop rigorous teaching and learning practice based on current educational research, including the Science of Reading. We require a practitioner who will work effectively across whole school, year level and classroom learning environments. KAS has a commitment to ensuring all students, including high achieving students, are challenged by and engaged in deep learning and intellectual stretch through the use of the SA Curriculum: Knowledge, Capabilities and Dispositions with an emphasis on building a strong positive school culture through Berry Street Education Model. The teacher will collaborate well with other staff, students and families to improve student outcomes for all learners. Teachers, with leaders, will implement the improvement priorities of the school and collectively and actively engage in identified professional learning.
