Role description


This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2027

Piara Waters Senior High School (SHS) is situated in the beautifully landscaped suburb of Piara Waters, approximately 25 kilometers south of Perth. The school is surrounded by luscious greenery and forms part of the vibrant, multicultural community of Piara Waters. The school commenced with Year 7 students in 2023, and presently has Year 7, 8, 9 and 10 cohorts. Each year the school adds to its growing cohort, until it reaches Year 12 in 2028.

The Role

As we enter the senior phase of schooling, Piara Waters SHS is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic and knowledgeable teacher of Chemistry to join our foundation school. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator or a passionate early career teacher to inspire and challenge students in Years 11 and 12 as they prepare for tertiary study and future careers in science, medicine, engineering, and technology.

As a member of our team, you will ideally be a conscientious, flexible and innovative teacher who is committed to the development of the whole student. You should be committed to the delivery of high-quality teaching, learning, assessment, and reporting practices as you prepare students for external examinations and tertiary pathways.
