About Disability and Inclusion

Role description


This is a permanent full-time position commencing in October 2026

Disability and Inclusion, Statewide Services, is committed to improving outcomes for students with disability through the implementation of strategic projects reflecting contemporary practice, and Department, state and national initiatives and priorities. Disability and Inclusion consultants work with schools to support students with disability by:

  • building the capacity of schools to support students with disability and complex needs
  • implementing key initiatives to address recommendations from the state and national disability reform agenda
  • developing strategies, professional learning and resources to support schools to strengthen outcomes for students with disability and complex needs
  • streamlining schools access to supports, including the allocative mechanism used by schools to access funding for students with disability.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and committed leader to transform system strategies and priorities into practical supports for schools to improve the teaching and learning outcomes of students with disability and diverse learning needs.

The successful applicant for the permanent Level 7 Disability Resourcing position will ideally:

  • conceptualise contemporary and evidence-based approaches to resource allocation, data production and analysis
  • manage projects related to students with disability, including streamlining funding processes to reduce workload on schools supporting students with disability and diverse learning needs.
