Role description


We are seeking to establish a pool of Laboratory Technicians for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2027 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Piara Waters Senior High School (SHS) is situated in the beautifully landscaped suburb of Piara Waters, approximately 25kms south of Perth. The Role

The Laboratory Technician is responsible for the efficient operation of the school's Science laboratories and preparation areas. The role involves preparing equipment and materials for practical lessons, maintaining laboratory resources, ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements, and providing technical support to Science staff.

As Laboratory Technician, you would provide support to teaching staff in the areas of routine chemical and equipment preparation and construction of simple apparatus for science classes, whilst ordering supplies, equipment and managing stock levels. The suitable applicant swould perform basic repairs and maintenance on the equipment whilst constructing teaching aids as required.
