Education Assistant - Special Needs

We are seeking to establish a pool of Special Needs Education Assistants for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2027 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Westminster Education Support Centre (ESC) is a dynamic and vibrant school providing a safe, friendly student- focussed learning environment for our students. We offer various programs designed to develop our students' needs academically, socially and emotionally.

We share a campus with Westminster Primary School. This provides our students with an opportunity for integration and inclusion, through participation in whole school activities and the chance to take part in mainstream classes.

The Role

Suitable applicants will ideally have the knowledge and experience to work with students with one or more of the following:

• A diagnosis of Autism and/or Intellectual disabilities.
• Complex communication needs using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) supports.
• Complex behavioural presentations.
• Students with anxiety and difficulties with sensory processing.
