Peg’s Creek Primary School (PS) opened in 1978 and is centrally located in a well-established section of Karratha bounding the town centre. The school is one of the smallest in the town of Karratha with an average population around 230 students. As an Independent Public School we are committed to using the increased flexibilities to enhance our strategic direction and meet the specific educational needs of our students.
The school motto ‘Be Aware, Be Involved, Be Your Best’ is reflected in the ethos of the school. Students are encouraged to show initiative and actively participate and contribute in our community.
As a community we pride ourselves on our emphasis on building partnerships between students, staff and parents. Our stable enrolment is a result of a community focussed on “being aware and being involved” and providing the best possible learning environment for our students. Parental involvement is highly valued and encouraged. A strong and supportive relationship between parents, students and teachers is embedded in school practices.
