Role description

At St Patrick’s College, we believe creativity, innovation and artistic expression play an essential role in the education and formation of young people. As part of our ongoing investment in the Visual Arts, we are excited to introduce the newly created position of Visual Arts Assistant, commencing in Term 1, 2027.

This hands-on role will support the delivery of our Visual Arts program through the preparation of materials and resources, assistance with practical lessons, maintenance of specialist equipment and workspaces, and the presentation of student artwork and exhibitions. Working closely with the Head of Visual Arts and Visual Arts teachers, the successful applicant will play an important role in creating engaging and inspiring learning experiences for students.

The successful applicant will be highly organised, proactive and passionate about supporting creativity within an educational setting. They will take pride in creating well-resourced learning spaces that enable students and teachers to produce their best work.

This is a newly created Permanent Full-Time (Averaged), term-time position commencing in Term 1, 2027.

As part of our commitment to providing outstanding learning experiences in the creative arts, the Visual Arts Assistant will support the day-to-day operation of the Visual Arts Department and contribute to the successful delivery of practical learning experiences across the College.
