Role description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to teach Stage 4 to Stage 6 Science. This is a Permanent Full-Time position commencing 27 January 2027.

The successful applicant will be committed to excellence in teaching and learning, have strong curriculum knowledge and contribute positively to a collaborative and high-performing faculty. They will support students to develop scientific understanding, critical thinking and practical skills while fostering curiosity about the world around them.

The Science Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning programs across Stage 4 to Stage 6 Science. Working collaboratively with colleagues, the successful applicant will contribute to curriculum planning, assessment, student achievement and the broader co-curricular life of the College. The role requires a commitment to evidence-informed practice, effective classroom management and continuous professional growth.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • A working understanding of, and commitment to, the Catholic ethos of a School in the Edmund Rice tradition.
  • Demonstrated understanding of appropriate behaviours and professional boundaries that reflect child safeguarding values in practice.
  • NESA Accreditation and approval to teach in NSW.
  • Qualifications and experience teaching Science across Stages 4-6.
  • Commitment to excellence as a classroom practitioner.
