Role description
Position Details:
St Peter's Primary School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Auslan teacher to join our vibrant learning community. This is a wonderful opportunity to inspire students and promote inclusive communication through the teaching of Australian Sign Language.
Selection Criteria:
* Faith-filled individual who inspires students to be Christ-centred and embraces Catholic social teachings.
* Works co-operatively and collaboratively as part of an energetic and dedicated team of educators.
* Demonstrates excellence in teaching and learning, as an innovative and reflective practitioner, and develops positive, meaningful and respectful relationships with students, staff and families.
* Is fluent in Auslan and has the relevant teaching qualification and experience.
* Has the ability to deliver engaging Auslan lessons across various year levels (Kindy to Year Six).
* Fosters a love of language and inclusive communication.
* Collaborates with staff to integrate Auslan into broader curriculum areas.
* Fosters community awareness of Auslan.
* Is enthusiastic, creative and committed to student wellbeing.
Qualifications required:
* Relevant 4-year tertiary qualification.
* Accreditation to work in a Catholic School (or working towards).
