Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) Business Engagement is the primary entry point to ICT for any significant new initiatives, projects, strategic planning activities, and major change programs and has responsibility for handling the initial engagement with organisational and external stakeholders. The Business Analysis unit plays a critical role in improving both long and short-term insights into customer requirements through effective engagement and use of customer appropriate language and terminology. This enables the Department’s Central Services to develop robust, comprehensive, and well-articulated business cases, particularly in relation to ICT-related requirements, opportunities, and investments.
The Role
The Business Analyst plays a key role in shaping and delivering technology-enabled business outcomes across the Department. The successful applicant will work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, analyse and improve business processes, and translate requirements that will lead to practical ICT solutions.
The Business Analyst facilitates stakeholder engagement, develops business and functional requirements and supports project and change initiatives. Working across a diverse range of business areas, the Business Analyst helps identify opportunities for process improvement, enhances service delivery and ensures ICT investments deliver measurable value.
