Role description
About the role
Applications are invited for the following fixed term positions at St Ita’s Catholic
Primary School, Drouin, commencing Monday 15th September 2026 and concluding on the 31st December 2026 :
ESO – Learning Support – FTE 0.32, 2 days per week, 8.45am – 3.15pm (2 positions available)
- The successful applicant/s will:
- be supportive of the Catholic Ethos
- be responsible for providing physical, emotional and educational support to
students with special needs in various levels throughout the school - assist students in specified learning areas and tasks, either individually or in a
group; - be confident in using de-escalation strategies when required
- liaise regularly with teaching staff with regard to student needs
- support social interaction and development with children at recess and lunch
- possess very good interpersonal and organisational skills
- have the ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
- have a current Working with Children Check
- hold a Certificate / Diploma in Education Support
- supply contact details of three referees.
