Role description

Selection Criteria

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

  1. A strong understanding of the barriers to women's participation in trades and technology, and a commitment to improving gender equity and increasing participation in these fields.

  2. Knowledge of secondary education pathways, including VET, VCE and the VCE Vocational Major.
  3. Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with employers, industry associations, unions, training providers and other stakeholders, particularly within the building and construction sector.
  4. Strong project and organisational skills, including the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes.
  5. Excellent written, interpersonal and communication skills, including stakeholder engagement, facilitation and report writing.
  6. Experience developing or contributing to marketing, communications, promotional campaigns or community engagement initiatives.
  7. Work collaboratively with RMIT to ensure they can document and develop a framework 

Desirable

  1. Trade or technology qualifications, industry experience, or a demonstrated understanding of trade and technology career pathways.
