Windsor Primary School a medium sized inner suburban school, is committed to the development of a knowledge community that challenges students to recognise their individual potential and ensure learning is a central activity for all. Students are provided with diverse opportunities in a multi-cultural environment where life-long learning is fostered. A challenging 21st Century learning environment is provided that strives to effectively prepare students to be successful and dynamic learners and one that actively promotes qualities and skills for active and informed global citizenship. This is further embraced through the integration of IWBs, netbooks, laptops, iPads and desktop computers in all aspects of the curriculum. A collaborative teaching and learning methodology provides for individual needs to be met through targeted explicit teaching, the development of personal learning goals and individual learning plans. In all areas of the school the development of the whole child is pivotal. This is evidenced through the programs and methodologies entrenched in the curriculum. Developing leadership skills is another aspect of educating the whole child, at WPS there are many pathways to leadership opportunities.
